A Modern Pro Shop for Our PGA Professionals
We are thrilled to unveil the recent redevelopment of our Pro Shop, which now offers a modern and welcoming space for all our members and guests. This project was a significant undertaking, and we are hugely grateful for the support we received. A big thank you to Gavin Evans at Par 68 and Russ Francis for their invaluable assistance and hard work in bringing this vision to life. The new design creates a perfect environment for our PGA Professionals to work, providing an excellent area for custom fittings, lessons, and expert advice. This is just the beginning; we are committed to further developing all areas of the shop in the future. This investment in the Pro Shop is part of our broader strategy to continuously improve all aspects of the club, ensuring we provide the best possible facilities and services for everyone who walks through our doors.

To ensure our course remains in pristine condition, we’ve made a significant investment in cutting-edge equipment,including the Redexim Top Dresser. This state-of-the-art machine is a game-changer for our greens team, enabling them to perform turf care with unparalleled efficiency and precision. Top dressing is a crucial part of greenkeeping, helping to create smooth, fast putting surfaces by filling in imperfections and promoting healthy grass growth. With this new equipment, our team can deliver even better playing conditions for all our members and guests. This purchase underscores our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible experience and solidifies our reputation for maintaining one of the finest courses in the area. We’re thrilled to unveil our new patio area, a perfect addition to our clubhouse facilities. The creation of this area was made possible through the generous support of our PGS corporate members, and we extend our deepest gratitude to them. We are delighted to announce the completion of our new front seating area, which provides a fantastic spot for members and guests to gather before or after a round. This project was a true community effort, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who made it happen. We are incredibly grateful to Jack Orrell in Porky’s for funding this project through his annual golf day, demonstrating a wonderful commitment to the club. We are proud to announce the launch of our brand-new website, a modern and user-friendly platform designed to better serve our members and visitors. The new site offers a fresh, contemporary look and improved functionality, making it easier than ever to explore the course, check out membership options for 2025/26, and stay up-to-date with the latest club news. A huge thank you goes to Owen Pugsley, whose expertise and dedication were essential in bringing this project to life. We’ll continue to refine the site and add new features in the coming weeks to enhance your online experience. We also want to thank the community for its support; as a non-profit, we benefit from a significant monthly grant to help with Google advertising, which has been a huge push in our quest to become a top club in South Wales. The annual Club Finals was a huge success, showcasing an incredible display of talent and sportsmanship across all divisions. The competition was fierce, and the standard of play was exceptionally high, making it a thrilling day for both players and spectators. We extend a massive congratulations to all who competed, and particularly to our deserving winners: Matthew Butler (Main Final), Tony Robbins (Intermediate), Tyler Dickenson (Division 3), Rhys Hill (Junior),Seren Kitaba-Davies (Junior Intermediate), and Gary Venn (Senior Final).
